2.3 My Kingdom for An Interview

It's time for another episode of The Spectrum of Life! We'll open today with a long-overdue house tour. I've finally got the place pretty much decorated the way I want it.

The front walk.

The entry-way, kitchen and dining to the right, living room to the left, bedrooms straight ahead down the hall.

This is the kitchen area, complete with a juice bar and seating.

Alabaster is demonstrating the dining-room, which also houses all the minor pets.

A shot of the entrance to the gym, which has the huge digital fish tank.

Alabaster and Oriole got delegated to the smallest bedroom after the triplets were born. There's only enough room for their bed, but that's all they need in there anyways.

Oriole is demonstrating how that works quite nicely.

Bumble Bee and Dakota's bedroom.

And the nursery, all in orange for the next generation. I didn't bother retaking shots of the gym, study or living room since they haven't changed.

Another new addition to the house was this trampoline. Atticus was quite intrigued.

So was Dakota. He wasted no time heading out to give it a test drive.

This is the Spectrums' new maid now that Epic Beret Maid has retired. Not sure what she's grimacing about here, perhaps the dirty dishes. Clean them up, then! That's your job!

Bee takes a break in painting, as it's time for the triplets' first birthday! Pumpkin gets taken to the cake first.

Dakota seems a little confused, like he's never been to a sims birthday party before.

It didn't take him long to get into the spirit though. Also, SURPRISE SPONGY PHOTOBOMB! He randomly decided to show up.

Unfortunately right in the middle of the birthday celebrations Alouette died. D: Poor Oriole.

Of course, that's what the Moodlet Manager is for. XD

Apricot's turn!

Unfortunately poor Monarch didn't make it to his cake, and aged up on his own. Oh wells.

Introducing Pumpkin Spectrum! She got grandpa Alabaster's dark skin and black hair I think (now with orange tips for her gen), and daddy's dark brown eyes.

Introducing Apricot Spectrum! She has her mother's skintone I believe, with grandma Oriole's blond hair (with orange tips) and yellow-green eyes.

And finally, Monarch Spectrum! He got his daddy's skintone, tri-toned hair (with orange tips now instead of white) and dark brown eyes as well. So even though they're triplets they have a myriad of genetics, which pleases me.

The family doesn't waste any time getting started on their skills. Simultaneous learning!

But soon enough it was bed time.

Grandpa Alabaster is happy to see to their needs.

And Grandma Oriole too. Night night precious!

Meanwhile Bumble Bee was doing me proud and mastering her Painting skill! Just need to master Writing and her LTW will be complete!

Oriole also mastered Cooking! She makes sure to have a group serving of everyone's favorite meal in the fridge now.

Alabaster and Oriole are taking over most of the toddler skilling duties. Especially Al, who trains babies about twice as fast as the others thanks to his Family Oriented trait. :P

In their down time the triplets have some . . . fun . . . with the toddler toys.

MONARCH - *angry scream*

APRICOT - Wow, seriously? I think you just burst my eardrum, geez.

Potty training is coming right along . . . and apparently Bumble Bee is SUPER excited about it . . . O_o

ALABASTER - *talks about the birds and the bees*

APRICOT - My childhood . . . it is gone forever.

One morning Bumble Bee suddenly decided that she couldn't get out of bed. There were no toys, sims or gnomes in the way.

BEE - How can you not see that there?! It's RIGHT IN MY WAY!!

Uh . . . huh . . . *resetsim*

She's reached the Investigative Reporter level of her job, which means she can start interviewing other sims to write reports. It won't let you do so to family members though, which I think is total HAX but whatever.

After work we called this person over, a left-over friend from her high-school days, and got to friendly-spamming in order to interview.

But at the same time, something very sad was happening out in the back yard. D:

It was Atticus' time to ride off into that great big sunset. I'm sad to see him go, but he led a long and happy life.

Good-bye Attie! You were an awesomely adorable horse and we'll miss you!

Back up front Bee and her visitor were discovering that they were both artistic. After this I think we managed to get an interview done. It was a good thing that we did, otherwise I would have been convinced that this function was glitched because of what happened the next time . . .

PUMPKIN -I wonder if I can eat this . . .

APRICOT - LAWL!!!

I'm pretty sure the girls are completely skilled at this point, hence why they're reading some skill books instead.

This is Bumble Bee attempting to befriend a random townie--which happens to be the tattoo artist--in order to do another interview. She had no problem chatting, but as soon as Bee tried to do the interview option . . . she disappeared. -_-

Well no matter, we'll just head down to the Coffee House during one of the Sim Fests. Tried chatting up one of the performers who'd finished. And the same exact thing. >_<

JACKIE - Sister-In-Law! Wassaaaaap!

BEE - Hey Jackie!

The next morning I called Jackie Fox, Dakota's brother, to the house before work. He's actually Bumble Bee's boss, so I know for a FACT he's not homeless.

FINALLY, omg.

That day the family also got an adorable, adorable replacement for Atticus. Everyone meet Garfield, the adopted kitten!

Be in awe of his adorableness.

PURE AWE!

Dakota was pretty excited about the new kitten.

And Garfield thankfully didn't claw him to pieces from his hiding place.

He was also quite fascinated by the digital fish.

Another high school friend we managed to con into an interview after several other failures. Shortly after this I realize that Bumble Bee also has the ability to write little articles that don't require interviewing townies. It's a good thing, because at this rate I'd never finish that objective.

That night, look who came out for a haunting visit! HAI ATTIE!

Atticus might be a ghost horsie now, but that doesn't mean he can't benefit from a good coat brushing. Alabaster was more than happy to oblige.

Welp that's it for this installment. Check back next time to see how the triplets continue to age up, and what more adorable antics Garfield manages to get up to. Til then, happy simming!
